CANDLE LIGHT

CANDLE LIGHT

A Poem by CHRIS ANDES

fear is where I sleep,
darkness as it is,
is my unseen world
left me to be a living dead,
being lost, I found  a dream
then spark a little love just like a candle light
brighter it shines than the sun
it showed the path,
guided my way,
revealed the truth of far away
beyond my thoughts
deep down my soul
I found the magic and spell of home.
fear of end is undeniable
this melting candle  gleamed of death
but still hope resides in the blossoming of fire
that out of breath awakes a little tomorrow.

Candles are fascinating things...they are a source of solace and comfort, yet they also remind of of our own mortality and of how all good things must come to an end...still I read this as an uplifting piece, with some beautiful imagery scattered throughout, especially in the last line, which ended it on a perfect and positive note...I've always loved candles, so this piece truly spoke to me...you've said many things that I wish I said myself...nicely done :)

Sit back and count the blessing one by one. Tick them off each on your thumb. There in the middle of all that fun, you find yourself, run, run, run. Frolick as little girls in fields of flowers do, fall asleep on grass as tall as you, wake and find the day anew. Run back home to grab a bight and right back out before the night. This is a wonderful piece seonne

Read "Bliss" by Katherine Mansfield. Do you good. And The Doll's House by the same author while you're at it. You seem to have terrible handwriting and dashed untidy room.
