Brick Wall

Brick Wall

A Poem by Thea M. Joy

"
i'm void of emotion;
the wells seem to have run dry.

pointless. meaningless.
what's the use?

a brick wall
and the sound of flesh meeting pavement.

do you hear the echo?

don't bother trying to stop me;
you drove me there.

anger. frustration.
is that all you see?

now i know why people hurt themselves.

I like how you've chosen to lay this out; the lowercases at the beginning of lines works well...I'm not sure how to articulate how or why, but I just know that it's better than some poems where the poets avoid capitalisation and it doesn't serve a purpose; sometimes it's kind of pretentious.
The single-word lines merged together, but separated by a fullstop, work really well.

Nice work.
