Stitched Me, Fix You

Stitched Me, Fix You

A Poem by Bad Wolf~

Absurd enough to trust

You again-

I should’ve known better

Than to give into your lies

Your sweet pretence

Is my downfall,

Believing that there’s still

Some good in you

Is my fault

Sorry, my bad

Once again you proved me

That I cannot trust

And that I am

Scarred with a dead man’s mark

Yet here I am still,

Hoping for the best

Though expecting the worst-

You can’t break me

But you can try

Like a phoenix from the ashes

I’ll forever rise again

Over and over

Here I stand broken

But stitched,

Holding the flame

Of your redemption and retrieval

Even if each time I get a blind man’s ticket,

Though I know that nothing’s true,

I am not giving up

On you damn fool

Maybe one day you’ll see

That I’m not barely another memory

But also your humanity.
