The symphony

The symphony

A Poem by Precious Seconds

Tonight
I see in you
The symphony
of an orchestra of time
you
Release the trapped
Doves of Salem
you
Keep the winds
From blowing away the sails
you
Clear the pain
of the cold dark ground
you
Making the belles
Sound out the walls
you
Fill the silent rooms
with laughter
The symphony of love
Entwined in my body
I lace your words
To be engraved
The locket of us
engaged in a kiss
You have always been
And in symphony
Gently placed
The violin in the highest float
A harp of tranquil sea
Piano interlude
Flute flying on stage
Drums of racing feet
You
The words that fear sound
Visiting the sun
In the symphony

lovely ..these for me are stunning ..words i say to myself ..oh ..how i wish i had thought of that ;)
"I lace your words
To be engraved

The locket of us
engaged in a kiss"

i tried to look up Doves of Salem and found nothing ..is it something from your own beautiful mind or from some writing of antiquity or even the present?
your "The Symphony" is one of far more than instruments ...like this:
"you

Clear the pain
of the cold dark ground" ... i feel so much in those words ..nice one my friend!

Almost a compete contrast to your Kill and Idol piece...
I wonder if this is what we hear when we have no idols left.

Amazing use of words. They took the reader to places of music, situations and to the symphony. The words were alive and strong. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This is so lyrical. I like the repetitive you's at the beginning and you fade it beautifully into the rest of the piece. The comparison to instruments is perfection.

You're welcome!
I found this to be both very romantic and flowing just as a piece from a symphony. Great work, RiverSided!
