Parkland - For El Paso and Dayton

Parkland - For El Paso and Dayton

A Poem by toritto

It’s getting so routine
the murder of innocents
crying teens and mountains of flowers
quickly forgotten in mere hours.

Yet fear not, you who weep alone
for mighty Caesar and the Senate
have offered lamentation to the Gods,
tweeting thoughts and prayers

as once we little boys prayed the Virgin
for conversion of the commie godless,
entreaties rising to heaven
like little red balloons.
