LETTING GO

LETTING GO

A Poem by Llee Hill

Memories destroy you,
By drawing you back to a life
That doesn't exist anymore.
Those memories won't let go,
Until you decide to let them go.

Tears stirred by intense emotions,
Drown you in an oasis of sorrow,
And leave you feeling lonely once again.
Those tears won't let go
Until you decide to let them go.

Someone reminds you
Of a time, a place, and a moment.
Leaving you afraid to love again.
But there's a reason
They didn't make it into your present.
Why continue holding on,
To one who's already moved on?
Your heart, indeed won't let go,
Until you decide to let them go.

You can only live your life,
Not by looking behind,
But by looking ahead...

This is an awesome poem. Memories suck because they can remind of you your past and what things used to be and love lost. Keep up the great work.
