One Day In History

One Day In History

A Poem by Kris Tate

Death flies on iron wing and
Comes to steal our hopes
To a better life for
Us and the world
In this world we are alone
The government knows what
Form terror takes as a break
Of night and steals the
Two things we hold dear
Planes fly and carry things
That we have cause to fear
Crushed we walk on in
The hope that the
World will be a better place
Trade in terror is all that survives in the
Center of the East
September fades into winter and the
Eleventh death of the US soul
Two times the horror and worse than a
Thousand deaths of myself I see
And hear the deaths of my soul for
One day in History

This is an amazing tribute. Very well executed... though the flow seemed to go off at times it wasn't so bad as to cause problems in reading and the message is great... Wonderful job!
