Houston

Houston

A Poem by Kris Tate

Walking down the streets
Watching the modern day tumble weeds roll
Waiting to be noticed
Wanting to see

Everyone rushing
Everything leaving you behind
Everyplace the same
Every thought repeating

Newspapers fly in the wind
News makers tell the sorrows
New people feel alone
New changes may be coming

This is my home
This may be my heart
This place is lonely
This city needs him
