THE EFFECT OF TIME

Truly time has an effect as it tears people apart

How time flies,

yet we meet again,

with stolen glances,

unsaid words,

broken hearts

and half empty

teacups.

With a dead silence

hanging in the air,

with an ego 

which surpasses

the words to be said.

However it took

too long just to

remember how to talk again

like we used to.

We lost touch,

But the reality is that

time pulled us apart.

But like magnets

there'll always be

an attraction.

That magnetic attraction can attract and repel. This reminded me of a past romance which went wrong. When we met again years later, the attraction was still there. That had survived the baggage could have been a second chance. Nice work.
