" A Seed Doth Wonder"

" A Seed Doth Wonder"

A Poem by ...
"

Longings and uncertainties..

"
My love is but a seed that's been shaken to the earth,
to be whispered across oceans on a breezy possibility...
in hope for deep fertile ground.
Oh what is my fate, a seed doth wonder?
Will I fall between the cracks of a broken sidewalk,
my delicate hopes trampled?
Will I be stuck in a crevice of a salty sea- barren cliff?
Will I be left to scorch in dry shifty sands of deserted doom?
Or...perhaps eaten by a fish or a bird
who found me floating on a crescent wave?
Oh what is my fate,a seed doth wonder...
Will I rise in rooted  glory, in sight of sun,
Awed by eyes, cherished by heart and gentle hand?
Will my fragrance fill the lungs of the deepest soul?
Will I ever be a flower in radiant bloom?
Oh what is my fate,a seed doth wonder...

I see this as a maturity of love. Accepting where fate leads your intentions and open to the possibilities of life's gifts blended with your unique gifts.
A lovely pondering.

:) you're too kind...thank you
Quite heartfelt...
Not sure, but I believe, the poetry's being written by you in a memory of your lover (Peace) ... I believe, you were feeling quite lone and full of lost in lonesomeness when your heart bashed you up with such deepen words - the words're written with the depth of your heart with the magnetism of love-feelings. Every word has much to speak of .. love and its poor heartaches .. very deep and thoughtful poetry you digged!

So beautifully written, and relatable.
Our seeds are precious, they must on,yntake root when ready.
Your seed's time will come.

Thank you, dear poet :)
These inspired words present a perfect analogy of human existence. In nature, many seeds go forth, but only some find fertile soil. Some of us fall on dry gravel and die, but others pluck themselves up and go looking for a place to survive, or maybe even flourish.

Thank you Elan :)
A solemn reflection about looking for love. Though the subject matter is pretty run of the mill, the metaphor is serviceable enough and your word choice along with some creative imagery really enhance it.

i absolutely love this .. wonderful use of your metaphor ... how the seed hopes for the best ... yet so much can and does stand in the way of love's blooming .. well done for sure says i!

That you begin with the negative possibilities and end with hopeful ones says a lot about the 'seed' :) ... i do know that some seeds are quite resilient and even when they fall through cracks they can eventually germinate...:)

Such a wonderful use of metaphor, Lynn... just beautiful poetry!
