Moments

Moments

A Poem by Alice

I hold myself up to the passing of time.

The ever-evolving, inescapable truth:

In another moment I will be changed

And in the course of many instants,
My body will brittle, my mind will mellow
And my moment in time will die.

I will have tasted only a granule,
Left only one drop in the sea of time,
Indistinguishable from the rest.

My existence will sink into an abyss

Of yesterday and long ago,

And my moment in time will die.

A very poetic poem describing the reality of our lives. I think you did a great job on this creation.
