Protect

Protect

A Poem by Dory

 I can hear her sobbing.

I can hear her hurting.

Whispering,

"I missed you."

Even when you're not here.

And you can't see her tears.

Whispers,

"I miss you."

She has the heart of a child.

She is fragile as a little girl.

Don't let her break.

Don't let her fall.

Raise her up.

And pretend everything is okay.

Let her know you love her so much.

Let her know that you care no matter what.

Fix her because she's starting to break.

Her childhood clings to her.

Her juvenile tears still fall.

Because she is still only so young.
