Grandpa

Grandpa

A Poem by Ty
"

Grandpa

"
Slow motion of my vinyl record
In a final measure
Times of spotted Leopards
Or Black Panthers
Or water fountains being separate
Today I'm guessing we're feeling better from the injection
In a rocking chair
Grandpa and swaying oceans
White and greying photos
Toting armor or raising signs
Lines of a single file
But marching on,
On and through the night.

This reminds me of the memories I shared with my granda as a young child

Nice memories shared in the words and thoughts. Each line adding to a man spirit and his life. You make your Grandfather come alive in the poem for the reader. Thank you Ty for sharing the amazing poetry.
