Perspective

Perspective

A Poem by Hendro Smit
"

Blind to the world

"
Eyes to see the world
New voices speak of truth
Of facts to be unfurled
By foolish and youth

Left and right
Right and wrong
And so we fight
We sing that song

Of broken nations
Of false invasions

Why not turn away ?
Why withstand ?
Why choose to stay ?

A blindfold
Cut by sharpest knife
What little comfort you can hold

Enough of the numb
The constant thrum
Of hate and new division
Paralyzed by indecision

Enough I say
Enough.
