Under this prairie sky

Under this prairie sky

A Poem by arnolt
"

In honor of my favorite spot on earth

"

The coyotes sing aloud at dawn, the cool air perfectly still

A whitetail grazes with her fawn, and wander this prairie until

The sun has set and stars come out like a thousand little lights

The moon above illuminates this peaceful Alberta night

It won’t be long til dusk arrives and glows red in the east

The farmers seed and pasture cows so that the world can feast

There is no place I’d rather be than under this prairie sky

And raise my family up on that soil until the day I die

A fitting tribute to life on the prairie. Makes me want to live there...lol. Great description and a cool feel of nostalgia. Nice work!
