Chameleon

Chameleon

A Poem by Calypso

Waiting in the hall of life,

caught between a no-no and being a chameleon.

To beat boredom’s held on my social status.

Forget myself, so I can model you

I question the ground I stand on.

Your right is my wrong.

What and who I am is filled under “Identity Crises”.

Along with the lies of perfection you keep.

“What the hell do you think you are doing?

your time is short and I’m

doing the best I can to make you amazing

and you through it away!”

Leave your imagery world.

Your vanity is sickening.

Your hands are dirty with your sins.

I can’t believe I wanted to

blend in, be like you.

I question the ground I stand on.

Your right is my wrong.

What and who I am is filled under “Identity Crises”.

Along with the lies of perfection you keep.

I found some poems I wrote at 14. They seemed good so I decided to give them a go on the Cafe.
