Tonight's Toughts

Tonight's Toughts

A Poem by Calypso

I try to forget the fear inside.

The emotions that shallow me mock.

When I thought I was safe,

you breath again.

You’re in my life,

squeezing my heart in your hand.

Anger is my only weapon,

and the fear is like poison.

Last night you yelled,

and I wished I could leave,

but your death is my nightmare.

I can’t live without you.

Without you I’d be homeless, broken.

A victim, a number on a scale

I see the shadows move.
They call my name,
and drink freely from my fear.

I see the sun explode,
and it's power rains down like
God's wrath.

Sometimes I have to wonder
if you're real.

Very strong and quite intense and real too. I like the last 2 stanzas they are very powerful as they show the importance of the subject compared to the whole world around you.

Wow. Your word choice was powerful. The thoughts you brought up were very deep, and have far more questions than answers. Great job!
