Lost harmony

Lost harmony

A Poem by grace
"

never would be forgotten

"
wondering what people must have done without the internet in the old times,
when they never tried to be someone they aren't all over the cool profiles,
would they have talked instead,
face to face,
eye to eye,
mind to mind?
wen it wasn't cruel to care,
when people expressed their affection through writing poems and proses and letters with truths,
when the innocence of children still ran in them throughout their youths,
when it wasn't scraped through the pressures of being what people wanted them to be,
did they really know what everyone around was actually like?
wondering do people know what these 'whole world on one screen' things has replaced?
the smells of the old cafes with drizzles running in through open windows,
cleaning the faces off all the melancholy deeds of the week,
time ticking at the clock but no one cares cause the seats opposite them aren't vacant,
the dusty shelves with rusty novels,
read by thousands hand in hands,
some would have cards, some would have deep conversations and euphoric teardrops over their wooden tables,
some would wait for their respective ones they are in eager to talk after a whole week about how it has been through them,
some would just be there like every other evening to keep a check on their people,
it would be a filling mess, unlike the silence that engulfs the harmonies these days...

You have posted words that need be noticed before face to race or postbox to postbox falls apart. Machinery is composed of round wheels - yes, tis true, but the faster they go, the more us humans lose time to spare for a good old.fashioned chat. kn owing the true colour of someone's eyes, the sound of truth or otherwise.

The above lines, we need today. We need face to face interactions. I am old school, I want to know who the person truly is. Thank you dear Grace for sharing the amazing poetry.
