Jacob

Jacob

A Poem by Harley (arbiter)
"

RIP

"
I don't know you
But you're my brother

The one of two
That's six feet under

I wish we could have met
You'd be awesome I bet

A great guy
Why'd you have to die

Today, it's been 22 years
It's still bringing mom to tears

She can't move on
Her dear child gone

When we visit your tombstone
I leave y'all alone

Just mother and son
Who's life had just begun

You're in a better place
Held in God's grace

Yup. This one's awesome :)
Wow. I have a little sister that I would lay my life down for. She even convinced me to not cut once when I was seriously considering it. When I read this, I wondered what it would be like if I hadn't met her. I was almost moved to tears. And I hardly EVER cry!!! :(

This is a great poem and it takes a lot to write something like this. I write about my ordeals, but they are disguised in the plot of my books. You are a lot braver than I am. :)

Great write and best of luck. ^^

Wow this is a very special poem...It's tragic that something like this has happened to you. I can't imagine what that must've been like for your parents, or what it's like living with the knowledge of something like this. Good job.

I like the straight-forward nature of your poetry.
(A pet peeve of mine is poetry that thinks it's better than it is, which this thankfully is not.)
I like it.
Well Done.
