The Unforgiven II

Imagine the periods as new lines

perfect match.

 kids in love...

 her dad found out.

 and we exchanged words..

. he went for a drive to blow off steam.

 he gets into a crash and she blames me...

she says its over. but i dont want to give up...

 shes really mad.

 and i can see why...

 its fathers day.

and her dad almost died...

 she wont forgive me.

 i dont think it was even my fault...

 people say give her time and space

. i think if i do that it will be too late...

I cook a lot. I cook when i am sad, angry, and happy. SO one day i was angry a one of my family members and got outthe largest knife I could find and began to start chopping up some ingredents. In the process I cut my thumb cutting half way through it and needed three stiches. I learned a lesson that day. Never handle a knife while angry. But even to this day whenever i am angry I get out that knife and chop away. We do whatever we can to blow off stem. It wasn't your fault. He went out for a drive to clear his mind. In his anger he was blinded. It would have been no diffrent if he decied to head-butt a wall and gave himself a concussion. I think that my explination/ story doesn't really make any sense. Well if you understand, don't beat yourself up, and if you do end up losing her, I know it will hurt. But all you can do is hang on to it until the waves settle and the horizon is clear. I know kinda cheesy. But i believe that there is more that one true love so god forbid you lose one another will find you. Hope that helped.... even if it was just a little bit. Oh and the poetry was geat

welll it was def not your fault. no one should blame you for that-- and you should def give her time and try to keep the relationship-- but don't ruin her relationship with her dad either...
but good job with your poem. i love free verse- that's usually all i write.

No, of course it wasn't your fault, how could you have any control over that? You didn't make him crash his car. As for your girlfriend, give her time, but not too much to let it slip away.
Other that that, it was great poetry for free verse. I believe people like your writing because it deals with real life events that they can empathize with.
