Two Eyes Made Out Of Coal

Two Eyes Made Out Of Coal

A Chapter by Smackey

Frankie throws rocks at cars.

Mom and Dad tell him no, but he just doesn't listen.

And so, Little Frankie woke up this Christmas morning " not that he wanted to.  He knew very well he was on the naughty list, and wouldn't get everything, or even anything that he wished for.  He trudged down the stairs and over to the tree, left standing upon a barren rug, absent of Christmas cheer.  With no new toys to play with, Frankie's life would be nothing but a bummer until the summer.

But lo and behold, his neatly hung stocking had been filled to the brim with some contagious holiday spirit that spread his smile wider than a mile.

So what, exactly, was it that made this sad little boy into the happiest kid on the block?

Coal.

Wrote this one a while ago, and I had the silliest criticisms.
Someone told me they "saw it coming the whole time". Like, really? There's probably 100 words there. Give me a break.
