Sweetly Broken

Sweetly Broken

A Poem by Tiffany S

What it means to give up your own life to follow the Lord.

I am broken, though not in pain

I am broken, by Christ His name

All the things my life contained

Were washed away; His grace like rain

My soul had sung a dreary song

A finite symphony

Until one day I’d had enough

I yearned for boundless harmony

I’d trusted Him

He held me dear

The Lord came through

His promise true

No matter the strife, no matter the sin

He never lets go

And so I begin

My journey down the narrow path

Towards the joy, and past the wrath

For I am broken, though not in pain

I am broken, by Christ His name
