Elegance within the Chill

Elegance within the Chill

A Poem by Kitten

From an empyrean sky
Snowflakes flutter down from puffs of grey
Conceiving a soft pillow bed upon the land
Chill gently consuming every form it touches
Sharp yet graceful
Silence pierces my ears
The forests lay silent while it's creatures slumber
Frozen water sings to me
While trudging upon the ground
Snowflakes show off their dazzling glitter dresses
Dancing to the tune of winter solstice
Trees covered in sugar coated frosting
Look appetizing to the eye
Air escapes my mouth
Breath dancing in the wind
Inhale and exhale over again

An elegant poem that describes the feeling of a snowy landscape wonderfully: the silence, the glitter of the frosting, and yes, the elegance. I really like this one.
