Trying something different

The ringing in his ears coupled with his disorientation was overbearing. How had this happened? Everything around him was chaos. His vision was blurry, dust was all around. The explosion had kicked it up, and considering the shock alone his vision would have been impaired anyway, the dust just made it that much worse. He wanted to fall over. There was no reason to stand, but it was his first intstinct. He was stumbling with no control over his body.
