On The Day That I Die

On The Day That I Die

A Poem by XcessVance
"

On his last day of life, he only asks her of a simple favor...

"
On the day that I die,
I don't want you to cry
All I want to see
Is your precious little smile

I don not want you
To stay in the past
I just want you
To always remember me

All the bittersweet memories
That I have left behind,
I want you to cherish them;
Never to be forgotten

All the hardships,
The pain, the sorrow,
The joy, the conflict,
All the adventures
That we shared together

Always imply
That I will be by your side
Watching over you
For an endless time

As I say my good byes,
I can hear your mournful cries
The tears that you shed,
For me, they are not wasted

As I close my eyes,
I can feel myself
Slowly being lifted
Into Paradise

the "imply" in the stanza 5 means to remember... this is for all saints day and I dedicate this to everyone who has lost someone very dear to them

I like this poem of yours...
But I'd like to point out the error in the 1st line of the 2nd stanza.
Anyways with that aside, the whole poem is really great!
You did an awesome job :)
