Pendulum Dream

Pendulum Dream

A Poem by Mic
"

Observation of how many forms of media are contributing to the degrading and fickle/flip flopping state of people's opinion of what is acceptable music, and behaviour.

"

Pendulum dream
invades their mind
a psychedelic scene
of the darkest kind

they know not what they do
they've been told how to think
they have no knight, loyal or true
from the cup of lies they drink

they assault the good, the true, the clean
until their bones have been picked lean
there is no thought allowed here
as they breathe, never will light be near.

the light of tomorrow, of promise, of truth
will soon see its freedom, and escape its booth
flex its muscle, and crush the dirty scene
of those who would bow, to their phantom pendulum dream

Consistent throughout the poem, rhyme that isn't forced, alliteration...all the makings of a strong and well written piece. Good job!
