Looking Through Your Window

Looking Through Your Window

A Poem by Vanessa P
"

They say the eyes are the windows to one's soul....

"

I look at my reflection
Unable to see
The beauty you find in me

Do I deserve you
I'm not quite sure
But I accept you whole heartedly

Your words flatter
Your heart unwaivers
I've been captured

Fifty million smiles
I am truly in awe
I've been re-assured

My heaven sent lover
The distance is but a mere obstacle
Someday we'll get around

I'll wait patiently
For the window of opportunity
Because you're love I found

Seeing ourselves through someone's eyes, sb who truly loves us, can help us diminsh a lot of our fears and insecurities. And the process is described beautifully. Although reassurance is indeed good, I have made the mistake of clinging into it too much. I am still learning and this poem, I am glad I came across. It helped me to sit back and relax. To tell myself its okay, I have got this. More than that, I found a relatable soul in your poem. Happy that I have read this:)

Seeing yourself as another sees you is always difficult, especially if you feel as if you're inadaquate. We often lose sight of our good points through media, celebrities, etc.. Being someone who has issues with appearance myself I know how it feels to think this way. One thing to keep in mind is that if there's at least one person out there who loves you, can see you for the absolute beauty that you are, it should be enough at times to at least make you think that things are not as bad as we make them to be in our head.

Now honestly speaking to you luv, you are in fact THE most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on and you become more beautiful to me as the days go by. If there's never a day that comes where you can see yourself through my eyes, then I shall always keep reminding you of just how gorgeous you are to me. Hoping that maybe, just maybe I CAN change your mind one day reguardless.
