Malignity

Malignity

A Poem by Lauren N. Rodriguez

Wicked webs are winding
Troubling tempting tastes
Sinking straight sorrow
Along the ailing chase
Cryptic crossings creeping
Cautiously so slow
Fathomlessly speaking
How have you gotten this low
Jeopardize this jargon
Throw it in the bin
Kiss it all goodbye
As you'll never ever win
Mistaken mirages
Forgotten frets
Threatening threads
Loving one less
Roses prick
Pay lovers their due
Slice their hearts
When things are untrue
But let the petals
Sew it all back
Let them soothe
The wretched attack
