Beautiful woman, how I loved you, and how I broke your heart.

Beautiful woman, how I loved you, and how I broke your heart.

A Poem by Jeremy Lester

A false title. I've drawn you in. You're predictable, you know?
I admit that I'm no great writer, nor will ever be so.

Silly little poets. Naive and elementary in style.
Rhyming "heart" with "apart", your diction is vile.

Images of "duckface" have invaded holy ground!
A writer's cafe is for progression! Not internet dating, you hound!

I should have known better, I've expected too much!
Anything that is widely accessible, becomes infested by w****s and s***s.

Dogs, and dogs, and dogs abound!
Smutting up this refuge I have found.

Male and female of similar minds.
Falsely praising these pathetic rhymes.
