It's Over! (Prologue.)

"Tif, wait...I can explain...," Jeff managed to say.

 

Tiffany was almost to the door of the restaurant. She replied, "I saw what happened back there..."

 

"I thought there was something between us...," Jeff said. He stood up, about to put his hand on her shoulder.

 

"There never was anything!" Tiffany almost shouted. She said, "And don't touch me!" she grabbed his arm and put it by his side. "Jeff Timothy Higgens, I'm officially breaking up with you, for good! Don't talk to me!"

 

Tiffany ran out sobbing, sitting alone on the curb of the street, looking up at the bright sun.

 

A half hour later, she headed home. She was never this shocked in her life.
