Black Rose Ballet

Black Rose Ballet

A Poem by Robert Francis Callaci

love is eternal

Black Rose Ballet

wistful whimpers
a wish upon a star---
bygone dreams

when first we met
sunrise sunset reset
rainbows moonbeams and starry nights

joined together
karmic intimacy
one mind one skin---spirits within
best friends

to the fleeting fingers
of time
we danced
for decades
under the stars
to the primal beat
of nature’s drums
...until that fateful night
when death embraced
you in iTs arms
leaving me bereft
and unable ever again
to dance along the
edges of the world
...for without you

along beside me
I would only trip and
fall headlong into the abyss

I anxiously await death---
to experience
... joy... wonder
... infinity... together
but until that time
I cover myself in your ashes

immersed in memories

wistful whimpers
a wish upon a star---
bygone dreams...
