Death To The Writers!

Death To The Writers!

A Poem by Weaving In Words
"

Ever read a book where the plot is oh so wrong and it feels like there's nothing you can do about that?

"

Death to the Writers! That's what the voices cry,
Death to the Writers! Let them burn and die!
Death to the Writers! For the power in their hands,
Death to the Writers! Which they shouldn't command!

How dare they kill poor Fiddlesticks?
The brave brown mouse of town.

How dare they help old Meridian?
An evil witch allowed?!

How dare they let her fall in love, and twist the tales to wrong?

The Writers don't give good stories anymore,   Which is why we shout out now:

Death to the Writers! Hear our cries aloud!
Death to the Writers! The Writers will be bound!
Death to the Writers! No more of their sad tricks,
Death to the Writers! Goodbye it is for them!

Goodbye to their old tales, of tragedy and of gore,
Of evil beasts and questing knights,
Goodbye to you once more!

It was good. It holds a lot of hidden meaning, I believe, and I like things like that. Well done.
