Fairies dancing in the night

Small lights in the black

Stars shine their light down

On large fields and blue oceans

And all treasured lands

Tiny blips of dust

Hanging in twilight and dark

Suspended above

Echoes in midnight

Heavenly lights long since passed

In star dust and flame

Remembered only

In glowing islands of light

Twinkles in the dark

Thank you so much for your kind words! That painting has always been my favorite and it's never failed to inspire me, especially when I contemplate how remarkable stars really are. It's my favorite activity on the planet to be in the woods staring up at the stars, and I tried to put that joy in this poem. Thank you so much :)
