A Restless Spirit

A Restless Spirit

A Poem by WindSong

A Restless Spirit

I feel your spirit in the wheat fields and meadows,

A song of the season sings deep with the willows.

Your soul whimpers on a morning in spring;

Lowly sparrows with broken wings sing.

All the flowers in ruins from the storm,

But a rosebud left behind forlorn.

The heart of a season is lost in the wind,

A restless spirit broken within.

Alone with the season it weeps no more,

For all that thrived shall return as before.

The flowers shall blossom again in a year,

The rosebud, a rose, forever dear.

The keeper of your heart and soul,

In the garden when all is gold!

The shadows come and make it so we can't see what is important when were in sorrow but the seasons change and the light returns and we can see hope once more. A very beautiful poem, sad yet so very hopeful!. A very enjoyable read. :)

A hint of sadness, then a road to renewal, where things will be bright and happy once again! Love the descriptions!
