Skeleton Boy

Skeleton Boy

A Poem by Chris Smith Welshpoetcs

Skeleton boy
Only has one toy
A piece of skin
That means everything

He took it to school
Which wasn't very cool
He went and misplaced it
No one was able to trace it

He started to cry
But his eyes were dry
Because they are sockets
Which he uses as pockets

Skeleton Boy Returns

Skeleton boy
Has a new toy
A mobile phone
Made out of bone

It was a surprise
He wanted to exercise
He tried skipping tap, tap, tap
But his toys went snap, snap, snap

Then he went for a jog
He met a big dog
Hear poor Skeleton boy beg
For it to bring back his leg

It's all quite so sad and amusing at the same time. I hope skeleton boy finds his way around his imperfect life. I greatly enjoyed this piece, Chris!
