Arrowheads

Arrowheads

A Poem by Wem Ortiz
"

4 years 6 months and 4 days left

"

I know that It’s been hard on your part
regaining my trust, fixing our broken hearts
correcting our wrong doings,
unbinding our tangled decisions
I am fully aware of your suffering

your fears that you are thorn between men,
one is a young blood unknown of what you truly are
and me, an old joke clogged with your emotions
that trap inside, a prisoner of your love.

And that I mastered every single note that musically
changes your life beats when gasping for air
its tempo, its length when it holds or when vibrates.
Though who am I, to tell you what things should be done?
Who am I to say I am the right man?

Don’t be afraid to tear,
for If you suffer then so a m I
if you’re scared then, I will take  the same fear with you
embrace your sadness and turn it into joyful pieces of memories.

For if Cupid arrows was a mistake in hitting both of us
I, myself would pull the arrow and I’ll throw it back at him
yelling hit well the second time around! I say
now Cupid hit me from behind and thrust it’s sharpness
on my back,

pierced my heart!

As I stare closely to the woman whom I love
and dear, close your eyes as we let the arrow head
combined our broken hearts
for the second time around.

But if you are not ready
then the waiting game begins.
