Prologue

A Chapter by Jonathan Biswell
"

Here is a taste of what this story is about

"

10,000 years ago there was peace between humans and dragons; they lived in a world full of peace and prosperity. The dragons taught the humans how to hunt, build houses, how to survive, how to use magic. And in return the human taught the dragons how to have mercy and how to enjoy life.

The dragons had the Council of Six which had elders of each of the dragon colors: the Azure Dragons, The Jade Dragons, The Red Dragons, The Silver Dragons, The Brown Dragons, and last the Onyx Dragons. The other dragons were content with how the world was going and wanted to keep the peace forever but the Black dragons thought that the human were weak and needed to be enslaved because dragons were the superior race. Each dragon had a consort who were allowed to see the king and queen

The humans had a king and queen that ruled over them with kindness and mercy but dragons were not allowed to see the king or queen unless they had permission from the Council, they were the only human who were able to go and talk to the Council without issues they would meet at the end of each month and talk about any issues they have heard about.

But little did they know the king and queen received a visit from a mysteries stranger from the middle of the night informing them that the dragons were slaughter human village with no survivor’s,  while the Council got a visit from a mysteries stranger saying the human were killing dragon with no mercy and smashing there eggs not sparing anyone.

They manage to somehow get to the Council and killing all of the leaders forcing the other dragons into hiding as they were smashing the eggs, but when they got to the Jade eggs, they smashed all but one. They took that egg into hiding; afraid the dragons might attack again. The humans they formed a group called The Protectors who were in change of making sure the dragons did not come back. Little did they know the dragon shape shifted into human’s and lived among them for thousands of years.

This is where our story begins…

I like how short it is, but yet instantly draws you in. This kind of reminds me of a twist between Dragon Heart and Ergon. It is amazing and I can't wait to see where this is going :) I have no ideas for I couldn't have writen it better myself.
My suggestion is that re-read your work and find better words to help paint a picture.
