Intrinsic Immolation

Intrinsic Immolation

A Poem by Justin Littlefield
"

It's an older song, but I'll be posting a few of these here. Listen to it and tell me what you think!!!!

"
Disintegrating pitifully into a frame of atrophy
You plunged into a pit of misery
Succumbing to agony
Constructed of catastrophe,
Your existence crumbles to me
Corrupting sanity.

Over and over
You have proven that you're worthless
Deeper and deeper
You sink without a purpose
Now you're in so far you can't resurface

Burning the bridges to all relations
You set spark through temptation
And watched it turn into conflagration

In ruins of yesterday
Forever there to stay
Rotting away
You lost your demeanor to foster decay

Your cessation is drawing near
The lacerations are festering sheer
I wonder... do you see things any clearer
When you look in the mirror
To see your biggest fears?

You failed all who stood by your side
Those who tried and tried
Watched as your life was pried
As the person they once knew died

If you take these exhortations into consideration
You are bound to see transformation

I enjoyed your song. It was a nice contrast to what I've been listening to.

Strong lyrics. A very impressive write.
The dark feelings are strong in this.

Nice to see a fellow metalhead on here!
These are some heavy lyrics but it's an all too familiar weight.
Interesting post, thank you for sharing some music with us!

a pretty mean self-visual... a true depression is a helluva time but the writing IS a good way to work through it.
