Duality

Duality

A Poem by Matt Shutler
"

several haikus...

"

Through the night she sings
A sweetest song of sadness
The nest has fallen

Blooming from the ash
Dawn cracks the unending night
With fire comes life

Pushing and pulling
Melodic harmony chimes
Sweet salty air comes

Hearts race to panic
Homes invaded, no warning
The hunter takes aim

Sanctuary unneeded
Brilliant rays poke through clouds
Day breaks from the storm

Determination
Foxes battle within verdant halls
Saving den of cubs

Abusive waters churn
Mightiest of her forces
The unnatural sink

you have a true talent.
I love the simplicity of this one... my favorite is when someone can do simple or short, but make it have a deeper meaning... This is very good. Kudos to you.

You can feel the drama surging and bursting with every line.

Seems to me to be abuse in the household. Your words are so descriptive and real for one your age. I pray these are not from experience.
