Hecate

Hecate

A Poem by flutters

Sacred hounds pull her cart

sailors and shepherds reside in her heart

women and babies protected by thee

Persephone-Demeter and Hecate

Ghosts and spirits at her beck and call

Three faces insures she sees us all

One is the horse, the snake and the boar

With Demeter in the underworld, she lights up the door

From childbirth until our time of death

Life changes, she assures they are blessed

When I am dying on my deathbed I lay

I know she'll be there to show me the way
