Moonlit Sanctuary

Moonlit Sanctuary

A Poem by Harlequin
"

A peaceful place

"
Not a sound I hear not a person I see.
Only the crash of waves just the sea and me.

The sand is cool now silky soft on my feet.
Smell the ocean air so fresh and so sweet.

The night sky is black as the moon and stars glow.
So close they all seem sparkling bright like gold.

My favorite place in the world is on the beach at night.
As I lie on the sand everything feels right.

I listen to the water's rhythm a steady ebb and flow.
The only place I feel peace and closer to God I know.

I could lie there forever counting the stars in the sky.
My worries disappearing with the slowly receding tide.

My moonlit sanctuary where all my dreams take flight.
My favorite place on earth is on the beach at night.

You describe a place I'd like to spend some time at. Under a full moon in summer would be quite pleasing. :)

Nicely done.
