Happiness is Missing

Happiness is Missing

A Story by Pax
"

3 different perspective of what's missing. Is soulmate or its within ourselves? can you tell me your thoughts about it, if you may? all the good and the bad sides, i want to know it.

"

If you decide to be happy then you’re just wearing it just like a façade. The question is, are you really happy of what you have?

You're happy because you have everything money can buy and everyone are enjoying your company. But are you really happy with their company? It seems they only see you as fun and someone who can pay their food and entertainment. With all that do you ever find someone that will truly made you happy and would willing to give up all the riches you have?

You’re happy because you achieved something. You have done this and that, everything your mind can solve and achieved. Was that really enough for you? Is there something missing you didn’t achieve?

You're happy because you have something to work hard for. You work hard for the future, never minding the current state. You tend to forget small things like giving yourself a break and give love back to those who love and cherish what you do. Have you really question yourself after you achieve the top; are you really happy that along the way you have something missing and forgot something that you left behind just to be there?

Happiness can be big or small, can you find it?

Interesting perspectives on happiness.
Questions that have their partial answers from those that resonate with each perspective.
Personally, happiness to me is not dependant on anything without.. for me it is within.. in itself
Keep asking questions ..

I love your questions and quests about this important subject of happiness. It seems the closer we get to happiness, the more illusive it becomes. It also seems temporary when people experience it.
An excellent poem brother PAX.

If you decide to be happy, then you’re just wearing it just like a façade. The question is, are you really happy of what you have?

You're happy because you have everything money can buy and everyone enjoys your company. But are you really happy with their company? It seems they only see you as fun, someone who can pay their food and entertainment. With all that, do you ever find someone that will truly make you happy and be willing to give up all the riches you have?

You’re happy because you achieved something. You have done this and that, everything your mind can solve and achieved. Was that really enough for you? Is there something missing you didn’t achieve?

You're happy, because you have something to work hard for. You work hard for the future, never minding the current state. You tend to forget small things like giving yourself a break, give love back to those who love and cherish what you do. Have you really question yourself, after you achieve the top; are you really happy along the way that you have something missing and forgot something that you left behind just to be there?

Happiness can be big or small, can you find it?

After the editing and looking into this story line…Pax…it brings open a lot of things…more importantly is what kind of happiness one is looking for is unique to each person…another man’s junk is another man’s treasure…happiness as a definition is easy…yet the variable is quite complex…I cannot make someone happy, if they like cars and I prefer horses…but that’s just an example…happiness is the defining moment of moments…the history of your life span…those chronological lapses --- that instill in your mind and one wishes to remember…happiness is not a can or bottle of Coke…but it’s a great advertisement campaign…makes one feel good…so you buy one…I will not get too technical in the questions, but give my input…as for the first question:

Are you happy at the current time and place…yes…unless you’re in jail or freedom is taken away from you...or your health is not doing so well or starving to death…and 6 feet under is calling your name…than anyone in the first question should be happy…you’ve been given life and can choose what to do with it...hopefully not take your own life…what a waste of a gift…but each their own…

The second question:

There are people married to their job --- first and foremost…and having money is like having a relationship in their eyes…so materialism can be a partner in life…but could a person who is sinister give it all up for a real person…that’s a hard line…I would say: no…

The third question:

Again, there are people who will never be content with their goals…an over achiever life style format…I have to succeed in order to function correctly…Over Compulsive Disorder…everything is not quite right…and needs my attentions…then even then it’s not quite right…

The fourth question:

At times…even in the moments of doing your best to survive --- other purposes at left behind…normal…yes --- we must do things in order to maintain our wellbeing…but those that take it too far miss out on life itself…stop and smell the roses…once in a while…

Lastly:

Happiness as I said is the moment of moments in life…you look into your past to overtly see, what made you happy…not necessarily what happiness is by definition…I am happy because it’s my birthday and someone remembered…Our anniversary is today and my husband bought me flowers…I won the lotto, because all my numbers matched…see the whole picture of what happiness is --- the pieces all add up making you be happy…

When I was younger I thought of happiness as what our minds create, but as I began to loose the purity of my thoughts I could not help but to agree with Aristotle's notion of it : happiness is an activity. You can tell, it is, I know.

Be well, my dear friend.

This is something to reflect on. To me, happiness is having a peace of mind and in our cutthroat world, peace of mind seems very elusive. However, i'd like to share this quote with you (it's not mine, i got it somewhere): Happiness is a way of travel not a destination.

I'm trying to find happiness and it's a quest I'm not willing to give up on just yet. I yearn for it physically, mentally and spiritually. I have had lots of sorrow and I've had happiness but at the moment, it's gone. But I try to hopeful and continue on. This is a wonderful piece, thank you for sharing. You did a wonderful way of making me pause and think - and I'm thankful for that!! :)

It is the oddest things that can trigger my happiness. Perhaps it is just waking up to a sunny day or a beautiful rainy day. I liked this write. I liked it alot.
