The ocean’s dying

The ocean’s dying

A Poem by Pax
"

~ the ocean's perspective, a little philosophy, a little me, a little of mixed up worlds, war here and there, extinction everywhere...

"

The ocean’s dying

Trapped in the glass

Food for your tray

I am the water that filled your thirsty soul

You're just a starve being who hungers for more

Can’t you see, I am slowly dying

My children is declining

Pollutant is destroying my beauty

day by day

I wonder if you care

I hope many of you understand

That my rage goes out of hand

That’s just how I am

Nature’s call in changes

Of the climate

and more often of what you’ve done

In time you’ll see how important I am

How you’ve lost a part of me

That cares for you

I am not selfish

All my blessings is free for the taking

But it is never yours alone

You outnumbered my children

To the point that you hunted them to extinction

You polluted my shores

To the point that I lost my blissful purity

You poisons each other's soul

To the point that I have taken the destructive consequences

Some things are hard to learn

But that doesn’t mean you’ll repeat the same mistakes

over and over again

as if it’s a good thing

it never was and never will be

I am dying, how I wish you care

I hear two sides to this amazing write dear Pax. There is the environmentalist in me that hears a gripping tale of how we( mankind) are ravaging our water supply ..making it dirty and undrinkable. How we waste so much of nature's gift for selfish reason. The second thing I see here dear Pax is YOU. When I read this ..I see you..standing at the edge of the shadows ...longing to walk into the light and be showered by the rains of happiness and love..of life and droplets of salvation...but you hesitate even when you know that you are dying...thirsty ...pressed for more than this trivial existence is giving...know that you are not wasting away like the oceans..you are the line where water meets land ...its seems unsteady but you are the balance that keeps it all in check you have both the thirst of the land and the dryness of the ocean. YOU ARE THE EDGE OF SERENITY> SPLENDID WRITE!

Thank you so much, I appreciate this kind review...
I endless times have read in my course books or any other book that we should not pollute water.

But the human selfishness is preventing from it's implementation.

Human since long time are contaminating water.

They yet, don't know the worth of this god given gift. Not only water another natural resources are exploited. They don't know that existence of this resources is directly related to human's need and also for their development.

Your poem has an impact.

You have written this poem on the behalf of soul of water. Your words let me meet the motive of your's.

I might say that the existence of resources is a boon to earth but a curse in the absence of it.

Our world is blessed by, god, by the resources so that we can satisfy our needs. We only can save this resources when we in our mind keep the consequences of wasting it.

An intriguing write.

Your poem directly reflects the stupidity of human beings.

Thanks for this wonderful poem.

thank you my friend... always!
Oh, really amazing piece and tribute to ocean! Yes, so many million people do not care of pollution of the waters and nature, of the ocean and any part of green area..But also so many now care, as you who write this poem! The problem become bigger and the consequences too..If nature not become priority in this world...we (people) will fall in our own trap! You give the words of the ocean in so brilliant way, the clear monologue from the heart of the waters... Magnificent! {really so good photo!!}

This is profound dear Paxy!... we must heed your warning... this is very likely to be, if we are not careful...

I love personification here, bro. My former favorite literary device. Nice wordplay. You made the ocean express her thoughts and feelings about what is happening...of how people treated her.

Bravo!
