Talent Isn't Everything

Talent Isn't Everything

A Poem by Winter of '97
"

A short quote on my encounters with talent

"

I have become good at things, not because I am talented. But because I had the courage to continue even when I was bad. Giving up will not make anything any easier, nor with it bring you piece of mind. Question your actions and then start as you mean to continue.

Dear Winter of '97,

The last line, "Question your actions and then start as you mean to continue," is thought provoking indeed, however, it's a bit awkward. I know the last line is meant to push one to finish what they start. Maybe it's the "as you..." needs another word. You might want to change "with" to "will," but that's only my opinion.

The idea....I have to agree because in the end it depends mainly on if you're having fun or not. Talent is not everything. Sometimes, people become better than the prodigies given enough diligence.

Interesting write.

Sincerely Livana Lowell (LL)

God bless
