I Am Strong, But Is The Other Side

I Am Strong, But Is The Other Side

A Poem by wistful_wishes

I am strong

I always have

I was never one for self pity

Or to drag myself along

I see them push me away

Their eyes say I am too

Good

for

You

I smile

Do you think

That I don't know

You don't like me

I don't care

What are you to me

I can laugh on my own

and

I have my own air to breathe

They cut deep into me

Leaving their weak scars

They think I scare

I can move on

Be

myself

But I see others

With no strength

People let them fall

I will offer my words

I have no change

But i can be stong for both of us

I will lift you thorugh this rough terrain

I will carry you as far as you must go

Never letting you go

So if I must carry the weight of others

Even if there is a hundred

Each a ton

I can be stong for both of us
