"Glug."

"That's what you said last week!" I scream angrily.

"My answer hasn't changed since last week," he rebutts.

I snatch back the can of worms. "Then you won't be needing these!"

He eyes me a for moment. "Who else is going to help you?"

"I'm sorry," The doctor said, voice hidden beneath a facade of false sympathy.

Janet's heart seemed to have imploded, a feeling as though a sucking hole had manifested itself in her chest. Her head spun, and her knees would not support her.

Delmor giggled maniacally as he continued frenziedly slashing at Nicko's evading form. Sweat slipped into Nicko's stinging eyes. He stumbled on a loose stone, wincing as the pursuing blade sliced at his side. Delmor's eyes brightened to a matching shade of crimson.

I hope to have fixed #1 and #3.

#2 is GREAT, franklin. perfectly done "in media res" and just... great job :)

#3 isn't quite in media res, just because there's no way to tell if this is the middle of things or not. it could be the very first shot (considering they'd yet to have "drawn blood"). but i like it nonetheless :)
