For my first love in Scotland

where I was brewed

many years ago

younger, perhaps naïve

I never had the reason to brood

I must have been distilled

rather than brewed

so in a sense

i’m more whiskey

aged now

bottled, not canned

and much more risky

Canned whisky would be enough to get you naughty stepped for life, or at the very least ten our fathers and three hello dollies as penance.
Rich Hall, the American comedian does a great song as his redneck alter ego Otis Lee Crenshaw called give me back my whisky about how they misspelled it and added raisins to it. It still makes me laugh...
