The Sands of Time

The Sands of Time

Time goes on
Though our clocks may stop
But watch!
The moon still changes house
The sun still rises and sets

And seasons come and go
The virgin white of winter’s first snow
Sensuous smiling springs;
Sizzling summer sunshine
The ardent colors autumn brings
Time goes on
And on
Like the seasons
We all come in time
And in time
We all shall go
Like dust
            In the sands of Time

Songs of time, I swear, will enthral me until there is no more . . .

"We all come in time/And in time/We all shall go/Like dust/in the sands of Time" These lines so encapsulate the enigma and mystery of the hands of time . . . how they are perceived and used, though ultimately, they are also victorious.

Bravo!

This is wonderful. I wrote a poem with the same name, but I think I like yours more.

This is so beautiful and your emotion spills through in your words and
graces the page as well as the eyes of every reader leaving me for one, in a sigh~
