Give Peace a Chance

Give Peace a Chance

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

In memory of many

"

I remember when
sweet guitars gently wept.
Now,
they violently bleed.

Well,

they killed that voice,
on the lonely, busy streets
of a cold, free world,

and
before John,
a dream died with King.

Now they sing,
"Give Peace a chance"

A lot of message in these words!
John Lennon, a great peacemaker, Dr. King a great peacemaker!! Two losses that make our hearts bleed, as voices and guitars are silenced!
Nicely done!!

Oh yes.. give Peace a chance..they all said
it was so pretty what they said..what they sang
i was taken away with their song
and sang along..the pretty song
but when our voice went a little high..it was choked
by some hidden hands..that always talked of that pretty Peace
and we believed..fools we were..all just lies
they killed him..as he sang..his voice went little too high
and the dream died along with you Mr king
as we dreamed with you..we had to go too..and the dream as always died
lovely write ..always nice to talk of peace that we will never see
