Crying Out My Name

Crying Out My Name

A Chapter by Wondering Mind

The whole world changed; lives were lost, loved ones were lost, homes were lost, countries were lost, freedom lost, and only a few gained…My name is still the same

Ten years in the making,

maybe a little bit more

I’m a fusion of your confusion;

game

for your culture vultures

my name is the same

long before your game

How long will this go on for?

Author's Note

Wondering Mind
How would you feel if you were to be treated and judged by the colour of your skin, what faith you follow, or even what your name is? Well, some of us have been having it since 9/11.

"How long will this go on for?"...I guess, it'll depend on how long you are still willing to play, or how good you are at playing the game? Some are able to play for years on end while others get bored, wanting to change the name of the game completely...
A poignant little ponder, indeed

it's an atrocity to be singled out by your race and faith. such is the american public, they panic then get paranoid, and everyone is suspicious because of what they look like. it's really an atrocity. i think this will always go on.

..the message is beautiful, i love your note, sometimes world is the playing the what we called 'unfair game', there's discrimination all over the world that time, lucky to have Obama for he stop that discrimination, but i didn't know if that works.. =D

It isn't fair. My son who is black/white had a horrible time with racism last year at school and he is only ten. I knew some day some where he would come across it but didn't think he would be harassed for a whole year at school by one kid. He was so scared he didn't tell me about it till the school year was almost over.

- ah - this one touches a deep, sensitive and burning question - and how!!! - as if being judged - in and of itself - weren't enough - there are just too many labels - too many tags - that make one - easy to judge - and the bitter truth - easy to ignore -
- lethal and brutal indeed - i agree with serah - and her coach!!! -

Beautiful. The point was extremely well expressed and the imagery was great. Nice work!

Yes, and how very unfortunate that so many parts of our society do so!
You are correct, and appreciate your words in verse! Instead of being brothers and sisters in spirit, we allow such events to create bridges to keep us far apart.
May we all remember the ability to give gifts of human kindness!
